Newborn Photography
It’s been a little while since I photographed Elliana’s newborn session but I am still in love with it as much today as I was the day I shot the session. She was the gentlest and most peaceful babe. I loved getting to just enjoy every second of photographing her and her parents. Not every session feels so calm and so right. Some come with stretches of having to soothe baby or stop for feedings. Newborns are all different and have different needs. But some come in my studio doors and bless me beyond belief. They speak to me with no words and they connect me back to my why and my purpose in doing these sessions. When my back hurts and I’m paying another chiropractor bill. When I’m staring at my computer for another hour and my head is hurting. The moments spent searching for new props and new items so that my work stays fresh and special for each person. I remember sessions like this one and I re-focus! My mind lines back up with my heart and I am fueled once more to do this oh so special work <3
Family Photos
Each newborn session includes shots with parents and siblings! This is such a special time in your lives and I want you to be in the photos. I always encourage parents to say yes to being in these photos, even if it’s just for a few. I know that you just had a baby and don’t always feel your best – but I promise your little one will love these images when they are older.
Posed Newborn Photos
When I talk about posed newborn images, these are the ones I am talking about. The ones that require more focus and patience. When we go into the newborn room it will be HOT so that babe stays super sleepy while they are nakey. My sound machine will be playing soothing womb sounds and during this part of the session I will probably talk much less as I focus on what baby needs/is doing. This is my favorite part of a newborn session. My attention is solely on getting these sweet images and on your little one during that time.
